Our Mission

Our purpose is to relieve the discomfort, pain and hunger of our community’s dogs, along with finding them a home where their care is PRIORITY.

We are located in Grundy County, TN, and we are the only rescue in the area. We are no-kill, no matter the circumstances. We do not believe in euthanasia for the sake of space. All dogs deserve a chance, even a third and fourth chance.

We work closely with local police to execute dog rescue operations. We take abused, neglected, and lost dogs, and we show them the life they deserve. They deserve compassion and nothing less than love and care. We primarily service Grundy County and the surrounding area, but we have taken in dogs from out of state.

Once the dog(s) are in our care, they are placed in quarantine for a set amount of time, while given their vaccines and dewormer, and inspected for fleas/ticks. Then, as soon as they are good with their health, we put them on a list with our local spay and neuter clinic, to get them in ASAP. All of our dogs have an adoption fee, but it helps cover this care we provide, and it is less expensive than going to a breeder.

We also work with other sites and adoption agencies out of state so we can broaden the chances of our dogs finding their perfect forever home.

This operation was founded by Andy Wostal (CEO). Alongside him, board officers: Cassidy Strong (President/Dog groomer onsite), Joey Vredenburgh (Vice-President), and Jackie Starks (Treasurer). Melissa and Dee are regular volunteers and board members.
